AirPods Setup Incomplete / AirPods Mismatch

I have both my AirPods Pro with me, haven't paired them with a different Apple ID other than the one I use for my iPhone and Mac. When I go to Find My, I can see them on the list but it says "No location found" and at the same time "With You". When I click on them, I get "AirPods Setup Incomplete - Some features aren't available" and below that - "AirPods Mismatch - Some parts are not findable". I've followed all guides below and all suggestions from here, but nothing is working. I've tried resetting, forgetting, reconnecting - to no avail. At some point they did not show these warning, but when I click on the info button in Find My - it only shows Play Sound and Directions. No matter what I do it doesn't give me an option to Mark as Lost like it does with my other devices and they don't show under my Apple ID altogether. I am running iOS 17.1.1.

Last week I had forgot them at the store and when I tried to locate them, one was showing on the map but it still said No location found. The cashiers were kind enough to give them back, but I want to make sure I pair them completely so I can use "Mark As Lost" and lock them in case it happens again. So far all suggested steps do not work. No matter how far I get, it never shows as an option. It should be available for AirPods Pro 2nd gen, right?

I am 100% certain that the pods haven't been replaced with someone else's by the cashiers, because I had foundation stains on both and I can tell these are my original ones.
