Sonoma Bluetooth Mouse Lag issue on M2 15" MacBook Air

Ever since upgrading to Sonoma, I've found my 15" MB Air is having serious lag issues with my bluetooth mouse. I have 4 different set-ups, all which have a bluetooth mouse at their desk. Regardless of which BT mouse I'm using, I am having serious lag issues with BT mice.

It's become a serious issues as I do a lot of precision clicks for my work, and it's become so serious that I not have to exclusively resort to using the built-in trackpad.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have a solution?

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.1

Turn off 'Pointer acceleration' in Settings / Mouse / Advanced.

Also happening with an M2 Mac Mini using Logitech Trackball with Logitech Unifying receiver. Seems to have started when 14.1.1 installed a couple weeks ago.

Fortunately, I have a second Logitech Trackball with its own Unifying receiver. I swapped both pieces of the Logitech hardware and the problem has persisted so it's definite NOT a Logitech hardware problem.

I have not noticed any issues with my bluetooth Apple keyboard though.
