MacBook Pro fans won't stop running

My MacBook Pro (2021, M1, Monterey 12.6), has been working fine for the last two years, but all of a sudden the fans are going bonkers at random intervals despite low CPU temperatures/memory load, up to 7200 rpm. They also go out at random times, slowing down or stopping completely; I'm somewhat worried for my fan health and for the sheer sound they create, since I've grown really unaccustomed to this degree of noisiness when I'm simply typing an essay on Word. I've tried restarting, tried running Apple Diagnostics, but nothing's seemed to help, and the only error Diagnostics sent back was one indicating problems in the charging port. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Unfortunately the consumer version of the Apple Diagnostics only give you generic codes which are only useful to let you know there is problem in a very general category. You have some sort of hardware issue which will need to be repaired assuming you had the power adapter connected during the test since the diagnostics will report a power related error otherwise.
