M1 Max Macbook pro fan noise for no reason

M1 Max 2022 macbook pro, fans going full power when computer turns on with no apparent reason. Ambient temperature is ok, nothing blocking the vents and nothing running on the computer... already did everything suggested in previous posts and no luck. Happened first time in December, took to the store and they fixed it and said nothing was wrong... and now it's happening again... faulty material maybe? Help!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

I'm having this issue as well. I went to the Apple store twice, they keep telling me that there's nothing wrong after they run their diagnostics. All I have open is a web browser with 5 tabs. The fans are spinning at 100%. The fans sometimes start spinning as soon as I open the laptop.

Any anti-virus or so-called “cleaning apps” running? They can cause a laundry list of odd issues.

Have you run Apple diagnostics? It is good at detecting the two main causes of overactive fans: a bad temperature sensor or, on devices with more than one fan, one fan dead and the other trying to do the work of two.

Has a service person had the computer open? That done incorrectly results in many of the broken sensor complaints here.
