How can I take this phone off the black list?

So I bit this Phone off another person for $180 dollars but when I Got it, I put my chip in and it didn’t work so I took it to The cricket company and told me that it was reported as stolen and it’s on the black list. How can I take it off the black list?

You can't. Phones are blacklisted because they are reported lost or stolen. You bought a stolen phone. Return it and get your money back. If you can't do that, toss it in the recycle bin. It's useless.

Frankly, your best bet would be to return the phone for a refund.

But, if you are in for a painful journey that will likely take you nowhere.

Contact the person who you bought the phone from to find out which carrier he/she was using. Then, contact the carrier to find out if it is possible.......(it may not be)......to remove the phone from blacklist status.

Phones are blacklisted because they have been reported as stolen, so the person that you bought the phone from was not likely really the owner. The phone is probably worthless.

They said it was their phone and showed me but they don’t want to take it off the list

The person who sold you the phone doesn't want to take it off the blacklist? Why would that be?

If they were telling you the truth about it being their phone, and they had the legal right to sell it to you, why in the world would they want to leave you with a blacklisted phone? Wouldn't they want to make things right - either by taking back the phone and giving you back the $180; or getting the carriers to take the phone off the blacklist?

The more you add to this story, the more it sounds like this is a stolen phone. Doesn't that possibility bother you in the least? If it is a stolen phone, somewhere there is a real owner who was victimized. Shouldn't there be any concern for them?

Bottom line, whether it's a stolen phone or not, it sounds like you have a brick that will remain a brick.
