windows 11 airpods pro 1st gen issue

When i connect airpods pro (1st gen) to my windows 11 laptop they only play sound for the first ~5 sec, after that they stay connected but don't play sound. i have rebooted the laptop, reset the headphones, reinstalled the sound drivers, but all that didn't help. if anyone has had a similar problem and you were able to solve it, please post how you did it.

AirPods 4 (ANC) connected but no sound My (brand new, just out of the box) AirPods 4 (ANC) work on my iPhone, but not on my MacBook Air. They're connected, and videos and music play, but no sound from the AirPods. Here's what I've tried so far based on the suggestions based on previous posts from others: 1) Switching bluetooth off and then on again to reconnect AirPods. 2) "Forgetting" my AirPods on my MacBook Air and then reconnecting it again. 3) Updating and restarting my MacBook Air. I'm starting to wonder about the simple incompatibility of headphones and OS, looking at their release dates.
