Every time I get a FaceTime call it automatically turns on my Apple TV

Even though I have continuity camera turned off on my iPhone every time I get a FaceTime call it automatically turns on my Apple TV and therefore my entire entertainment system and television turns on as well and prompt me to connect.

This feature is absolutely useless to me and I want to stop taking over my entertainment system in my Apple TV but I can’t seem to find anywhere that explains how to do this.

Continuity camera is turned off on my phone and yet it still does this every single time.

Did you figure it out? For me it keeps connecting to the Apple TV. At first I couldn’t get it to connect properly and it was super buggy but then I used to QR code in the FaceTime app on Apple TV to connect my phone which worked for a single call but now not only is it broken again but my phone is constantly connected to the Apple TV every time it’s near by and I always have to click disconnect
