Can I check the temperature of the water in which I am swimming in the sea or pool?

My understanding is that they haven’t unlocked access to the temp sensor with an API - but they could. Seriously annoying that they don’t.

Measure water temp on Open Water Swim Is there a way to configure workouts on the Apple Watch (Ultra) During open water swims I'd like to know the water temperature. I can get that if start a "dive" but since the sensor is active by immersion, can we just get that data attached to a swim workout. Have not tested whether I can run multiple events simultaneously... Open water swim wile diving for example. That would be a cumbersome workaround. Better to just capture the water temp during swims.

Water Temperature not showing up in Health App I've gone open water swimming a few times with my Apple Watch Ultra and used the Depth app to see the Water Temperature. Very cool. However, after the swim when I go to the Health app and into the Water Temperature section, there is "No Data". In the "Data Sources & Access" section, it says "None" for Data Sources. Why aren't Water Temperature readings from the Depth app showing up in the Health App? How can I make my Apple Watch a Data Source for Water Temperature?

Apple Watch Not Recording Water Temperature I have been on multiple open water swims using both apples own open water activity recording software and workoutdoors activity recorder. Neither of these recorded the sea temperature. I have tried opening the depth app during the swim and that also did not record the sea temperature.
