Missing widgets on iphone lock screen

I just upgraded to a new iPhone and suddenly the list of widgets available for the lock screen was only a few apple apps.

If you google search for the reason you'll experience some frustration, and i never found an answer from apple support. So i'm sharing mine: I restarted the phone, and suddenly there are tons of widgets available for the home screen again.

A restart did it for me.

Thanks internet for nothing.

And apple support - this is a real confusing issue, maybe get on top of it.
