new phone set up stuck at software update

Same problem. Saw a post to set your new phone up as a new phone first. Don't try to transfer anything or that's how it gets stuck at Install Now. Once 17 is installed, do a Reset and then transfer everything over from your old phone. I'm trying that right now. I'll repost to let you know if it worked or not.

When Ill do the reset, after installing 17, how am I supposed to do the transfer? Ive been trying for 24 hrs to get my 14 pro max started and i cant complete the transfer
