Editing long pasted text into Messages

Isolated to iOS 17.0.2 and earlier version of 17, try this: copy a long text from Notes or Email and paste it to Messages. Prior to sending, try editing a word or sentence located at the very top of this long text. I found it either very taxing or impossible as the cursor wants to spring back to the very end restricting this edit. I have reported it as a bug but I was wondering if it’s just me. Please advise.

I agree. I don’t know if it’s a new behavior, but I’ve experienced several frustrating instances of it lately and don’t remember having the issue before, so I assume it’s new. The message app seems to assume you’ll never need to edit anything that’s more than a few lines long.

100% this is a nightmare. I’d love to roll back the update as most of my business is pasting long messages and going back and changing the name at the top of the post.
