My phone is opening my messages with out notifications. It seems like I am blowing people off, when in reality the messages get automatically opened without sending me a notification. Can anyone help me? All notifications are on and i tried turning off my read receipts and it still won’t work.

There isn't a way for messages to really be automatically opened without first opening them. Do you have some other device that is also signed in to your account and using Messages? If so, looking into that may be your next best option.
