After iOS update unable to fix Oticon engage hearing aids pairing issue with iPhone

I also have the same problem

Except that mine was working after upgrading to iOS 17 - I needed to 'forget' and repair the devices as one was replaced and now it shows two separate devices and will only pair to one of them.

Does anyone have an answer?

I have the same problem. I rely on them for work calls and now they won’t pair in the accessibility function or in Bluetooth.

I hope Apple fixes this problem as we can’t be the only ones affected.

I went to the hearing aide place and they wanted to charge me 300.00 dollars to ship off my hearing aide. The one that’s not pairing. While I was there my husband called me and told me it was the latest update on our cell phones. The hearing aide place should know this and not try to ship them off for 300.00 dollars.

I’m having this same problem. I can either connect the L or R but not both. It would be nice if Apple would at least research the problem and offer another update to fix it. It appears they don’t care since they haven’t responded for months.

I went to my hearing specialist and they told me repairing them would not help. Offered to charge me 600.00 to send them back to the manufacturer. They told me I would have to buy a different type hearing aides. They have never worked the same since iOS 17.0. I no longer pair them to my phone. If they are not paired I have a hard time hearing outside or in the car. To much noise. Disappointed

Just to let you know itt is apples fault. I can sign into my Samsung tablet and they both pair fine. They both with. I use my sone Samsung phone both pair remained paired while on the phone. I am looking at moving away from my IPhone and Itab. The cost of new hearing aides are more expensive than buys new unlocked Samsung phone.

This drove me crazy. Finally got something that worked from the (otherwise useless) Oticon Companion app:

Turn off and then re-start hearing aid.

Then on iphone go to Settings then Accessibility then Hearing Devices and it will look for hearing device. For the iphone found it after many previous tries when it wouldn't.

Still odd that if I go to Settings then Bluetooth my hearing aid does not show as connected, but it is.

i don’t think this is apple’s fault. In the end I got mine sorted by going back to the Oticon dealer and getting them to re-pair them. Sorted!

Sorry I wasn't clear

I didn't mean repair, but re-pair. the shop that sold me the hearing aids did it in 2 minutes - and it fixed the problem completely.
