Putting Downloads folder into the dock

I've tried dragging the Downloads folder into the dock but it won't stay. I also tried with an alias with no success. Using OS Ventura 13.5.2.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

How to get downloads back onto dock? So I accidentally was fidgeting around and dragged the downloads folder out of my bottom dock. I found that you could add it back by dragging the folder in, but it is a different setup. The old one pointed straight up and was in order of most recent downloads. I am on MacBook Pro M1. Does anyone know how to get the original downloads dock that is there when you start up the mac for the first time?

MacBook Pro Downloads Folder in Dock I accidentally removed my "Downloads" folder from my Dock. I have been able to create a link in the dock that opens the folder in Finder, however cannot figure out how to change this to view it over top of my desktop as a stack in the bubble-like view as it was before. Does anyone have tips on how to restore the folder to be viewed as it was originally?

Try updating to Ventura 13.6 and see if that helps. Another thing if you haven't already, is to enable the sidebar in Finder and drag the Downloads folder listed in that down to the dock.
