MacBook Pro Downloads Folder in Dock

I accidentally removed my "Downloads" folder from my Dock. I have been able to create a link in the dock that opens the folder in Finder, however cannot figure out how to change this to view it over top of my desktop as a stack in the bubble-like view as it was before.

Does anyone have tips on how to restore the folder to be viewed as it was originally?

That's not the correct item. It'll be on the same side as the Trash.

When I Ctrl+click the only options I get are

Remove from dock
Open at Login
Show in Finder

Control-click it and change the options as desired.
