iOS17, Home app, and Automation. I want to send a Message when temperature exceeds 80F

I'd like to send a Message to myself and my wife when the HomePod detects a temperature higher than 80F (e.g. possible fire in the Kitchen).

I can navigate through creating a New Automation in the Home app, but I want to send a Message and not play audio on the HomePod.

Does anyone have the steps/recipe to do this? It seems that I either cannot do it or Apple is missing a useful, simplified capability in the Home app.

It seems that Homekit, by itself, doesn't have this capability (eg sending a message/notification). However you might be able to set up a Shortcut on your iPhone to do this. See

Shortcuts User Guide – Apple Support (AU)

I have set up Shortcuts for similar things but I find the process is not intuitive.
