I’d hoped that the new iOS upgrade would remedy the issues with screen time but alas not. The App Limit continuously disappears and so my daughter can spend hours on her phone unless I keep checking if the limit is still there. Is anyone else finding this? Why is it so difficult to get this working properly? 😫

Apple just released an update to iOS 17, which is iOS 17.0.1. We recommend updating to that version and then testing.

I’ve done the upgrade to 17.01 but it hasn’t made any difference. Essentially once downtime kicks in it wipes all App Limits so I have to go and re-set every morning. It’s so frustrating that they can’t get this right.

Are you managing this from your device or the child's device? Does the child know the Screen Time passcode? If so, we'd recommend changing the passcode with these steps: If you forgot your Screen Time passcode
Downtime still allows apps that are selected under the 'Always Allowed' section in Settings > Screen Time.
If an app you wish to limit access is allowed here, then they can access it even if Downtime has been enabled or scheduled.
You can also check what's enabled in Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps and Content Restrictions > Apps.
