Why does Apple use Safari instead of my chosen Default Browser?

Ventura 13.5.2 My default web browser is Firefox. Why then is Safari

used when I right-click on a selected word and choose the menuitem "Look

Up ...:?

Saved web links always open in safari even thought it's not my default browser I found a similar thread searching but there did not seem to be an answer. I save a web address from Firefox (my default browser) by dragging the title to my desktop. Later I click on that link and it opens in Safari. If I go to "Get info" it shows under "Open with" that the default to open this file type .webloc is Safari. And this window is greyed out so I can not change this. Yes, I unlocked the padlock in "Get Info" but it is still greyed out. And yes, I did check and my default browser is Firefox not Safari. Thank you.

Latest update forces me to use Safari instead of my default browser. After I updated to Ventura 13.1 I'm forced to use Safari no matter what I have set to default. I've double checked all my settings. I use Brave set as my default browser. Yet when I click on a link, it opens in Safari. If I right click on a link and select open with, it shows Safari as my default. Again, it's not this way in my settings. I can use my other browser when using this right click method, but this is a pain. This has only happened since the update. I've read where others are using a script or something to fix this, but that's beyond my abilities. I finally switched from windows to a macbook pro. This is not what I expected from Apple. Please fix this...

Because that's how Apple chose to implement "Look Up".
