Latest update forces me to use Safari instead of my default browser.

After I updated to Ventura 13.1 I'm forced to use Safari no matter what I have set to default. I've double checked all my settings. I use Brave set as my default browser. Yet when I click on a link, it opens in Safari. If I right click on a link and select open with, it shows Safari as my default. Again, it's not this way in my settings. I can use my other browser when using this right click method, but this is a pain. This has only happened since the update. I've read where others are using a script or something to fix this, but that's beyond my abilities. I finally switched from windows to a macbook pro. This is not what I expected from Apple. Please fix this...
