I called apple care about my Powerbeats Pro wireless headphones not working. I was still under warranty. I was told I would receive a new pair and a refund for $80. In order to get the refund I would need to purchase an apple gift card $500. I was scammed.

AFAIK, in my experience, I had never been told by Apple that I needed to purchase an Apple Gift card in order to get any of my Apple gear repaired.
Are you sure you contacted Apple Support? This totally sounds like you did not, and apparently were being scammed.
Where did you get the Apple Support contact information from?
If ever in doubt, in the US call 1-800-MY-APPLE.
Please contact you local police department and file a report. Filing a report may not directly benefit you, but may save many other people and it’s the right thing to do.
