ABKO USB gaming headset not recognized by MacBook Pro

Older ABKO gaming headset, I think model CH55, with a USB connector, so I am using a USB-C adapter to plug it into a new 14" MBP, and the sound settings panel doesn't recognize the headset at all.

I can see that the headset is getting power because the rainbow lights are on.

How do I get the ABKO gaming headset to work on my new MBP?

Is this Headset Even Seen?

To Find Out:

Go to: Apple menu
Select: About this Mac
Click: System Report... button
View: Hardware on left-column
Click: Audio
Confirm if a speakers are even seen
