GarageBand doesn't see bluetooth headset

My MacBookPro sees the bluetooth headset and works perfectly in every application except GarageBand. The headset doesn't even come up as a choice of "Output Device" when I go into the Audio/Midi setting menu in GB, even though I'm actually listening to a Zoom call through the headset as I search through GarageBand help articles. None of which have helped.
