I am trying to set up a watch but the download has paused, with a message "You can resume the download when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network." My iPhone is on a Wi-Fi Network. "Resume Downloading to Watch..." is greyed out and does not respond to touch. Can anyone help?

Leave it be for a period of time to see if the update will resume, I had this also and after half an hour the update continued
I suspect my issue may have been related to restoring my watch from a backup. I decided to try starting with a new watch instead. I left it overnight and the update was successful. My issue could also have been caused by poor internet. I get better speed overnight.
Same error for me.
My watch IS new. And our 1.5gb fiber internet is getting my wireless devices about 850mbps.
