Mail not sending

Mail is not sending from different accounts. I can forward an existing e-mail but when sending new messages i get the send sound but the message neither arrives or is shown in sent items.

I have tried deleting the accounts but this made no difference.

Internet is all working

Use a New App Password:

I have the same issue. Mail Version 16.0 (3731.700.6) receives but will not send on 2 different Macs. Other email apps work fine. Problem arose after OS Ventura 13.5.1 upgrade. I tried all the troubleshooting steps offered by apple support to no avail. I even reinstalled the OS. Logs reveal nothing. Mail doesn't generate any errors. Sent messages just vanish.

This points out an important and useful thing to know. Unless the OS is fully replaced, it is certainly possible that an issue will be carried forward. In fact. I had one where reinstalling the OS was insufficient and until I erased the disk and then reinstalled everything, the problem could not be cleared. We cannot know what will work, or not work, until we do it.
