iPhone Unavailable and won't connect to Macbook
Have an old iPhoneX that was shelved for awhile so I'm not sure what iOS version is on there. One of the kids has locked it as it says "iPhone Unavailable" with an emergency option and that's it.
There is no data to lose and want to restore to factory settings.
I've tried factory reset (v-up, v-down and hold power) and some other combinations from the net but regardless the phone is not recognized on my Macbook Pro, Mac Mini, Dell Laptop.....nothing!
It does charge the phone so I know the phone port works and the chord (that I use daily) works.
iCloud or Find My Phone is not an option as it's not on there to find and erase.
Does Apple intentionally block the usb connection? (this happened after a screen replacement on another phone)
What is one to do?
