Alarm play through AirPods is excruciatingly loud

My headphone safety is all the way down at 75 dB.

Ringtone and volume in settings is almost all the way down.

Turn volume under accessibility in AirPods is down to 38%

And yet, every time, one of my alarms go off, which I need to set regularly to remind myself to do things, it is so loud in my ears. I am sure that there is damage being caused. It is the equivalent of being on full volume, but then directed straight into my eardrums.

Please help me! How can I fix this?

Hi there Tibsytricks,

We see you have some issues with your volume being too loud from your AirPods. It appears you've already checked several settings and the issue hasn't resolved. First, you might consider resetting them, which will often resolve many issues: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro

We'd also recommend testing them with another device to confirm if it's your AirPods or perhaps the device you are paired with. If the volume issue still persists, we'd next recommend reaching out to Apple Support directly. You can reach them here: Get Support

You can also find the support phone number for your region at this link: Contact Apple for support and service

Take care.
