All I have read is if there is a problem they would be replaced. I do not understand.

I have been told this too, will have to pay £95 PER Air pod (£190) in total for the diagnostic test. This is ridiculous, an Apple product with an issue that is not working due to an issue in manufacturing should be covered. Why pay so much money for a product that I can expect to last just 1 year???? I can buy cheaper earbuds that work with Apple but wanted a good product and expect it to last longer than 3 years. Feel cheated
After 5 phone calls being told they would be replaced and then told they would not I called and talked to a supervisor. I think my problem was that they were purchased 3 years plus 13 days when first called apple. Supervisor was able to get an exception to look at them and I sent them in. Apple sent back replaced AirPods Pro and I no longer have the static problem. Give that a try talking to supervisor. I felt the same way you did and hopefully someone that knows what is going on can give you a hand. I really appreciated apple coming through in the end.
I have been told by apple that my pre Oct 2020 AirPods Pro that have static will not be replaced because they are not under warranty. Anyone else have this problem?
