Airpods pro static noise warranty expired

I have an airpods pro(1st gen) that I bought in March 2020, and it’s making static noises whenever I put them on, regardless of noise cancellation. My warranty coverage date is expired so I can’t even get them replaced. What should I do? Do I have no choice but to throw it away and buy new ones?

Yes, I took mine to an Apple Repair Provider last Saturday and that is exactly what I had to do. My warranty also expired in March. Extremely disappointed that I was not contacted and made aware of the issue before the warranty expired. I don't remember exactly when I started having issues, but it is quite likely they started before the warranty expired. I just lived with it for too long. I won't make that mistake again. Come on Apple - you're better than that!
