Not getting Apple Music in HI-Res lossless when playing from my iPhone 11 ProMax, iPad Pro 12.9" M1 nor MacBook Pro 16" Pro M1 Pro through an external DAC/Amp

As I noted in the header,

I am not getting Apple Music in HI-Res lossless quality (up to 192kHz) when playing from my iPhone 11 ProMax, iPad Pro 12.9" M1 nor MacBook Pro 16" Pro M1 Pro through an external Questyle M15 DAC/Amp dongle attached to iPhone 11 ProMax through Apple's own lightning to USB-C/USB-A combo adapter, attached to iPad Pro 12.9" M1 through USB-C adapter and attached to MacBook Pro 16" Pro M1 Pro through same USB-C adapter. Using the same three setups, I do get Apple Music streamed through all three but only under 44kHz. I am getting Amazon Music Hi-Res lossless music (above 44 kHz) when playing from the Amazon Music app on my iPhone and iPad devices. I do not have the Amazon Music app on my MacBook Pro, so no Amazon music testing on MacBook Pro.

I have an Apple Music Individual subscription with full rights to getting Apple Music HI-Def lossless when connected through a working external DAC/Amp as I have noted above and having verified that the DAC/Amp works flawlessly with another streaming music service in the same devices used for Apple Music.

Let me emphasize, I have the latest operating systems installed in all three devices :

iOS (16.5.1), iPad OS (16.5.1) and Mac OS (Ventura 13.4.1).

I signed-on to the paying Apple Music subscription strictly to take advantage of Apple Music High-Def lossless when available and after following Apple's own recommendations, I'm not getting the promised Apple Music quality delivery. I feel cheated.

Any suggestions out there as to what I may do to resolve the HI-Def Music problem?

Thanks to this community for reading through and for any feedback anyone may provide.

The Q15 spec does not mention Apple Music as being supported, although it does for Tidal. Furthermore, there’s no way to update firmware without Windows. Support for macOS is mentioned only vaguely with no reference to specific macOS releases, probably because the company couldn’t be bothered.

IMO they haven’t tested their dongle with Apple Music, which means you’re totally justified about being cheated.

This is not an Apple problem, it’s about buying into dodgy marketing from a no name, most-likely Chinese manufacturer who won’t bother testing if it sells without anyways. They probably borrowed that from Dell who use the same strategy to sell monitors for Apple Macs. If it works great, if it doesn’t, shrug.

I’d return the dongle asap and not go near these Q guys until they’ve gotten their act together, which could be never. Then shop for a DAC that actually backs up their product with unambiguous support for Apple Music, complete with OS versions, firmware updates, forum etc. I’m not even sure such a DAC exists, but do post if/when you locate one (with link to the spec please).

Or switch to Amazon, many do. Your choice.
