I just updated to Ventura on a MacBook Pro.. There's a lot of junk in my dock that I don't want there. When I right click on an icon I want to remove, it now doesn't have the "Remove from Dock" option. I also can't drag it out of the dock. Ideas?

Not sure what you mean by computer bringing up your full google setting. Are the profiles you are talking about Profiles that are listed at > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Profiles? I am not using any Profiles in this setting.
If restarting in Safe Mode alleviates the problem, then there is a third party software conflict that is installing when starting up. Do you have anything at > System Settings > General > Login Items?

Since it appears you are unfamiliar with at least some of what has been installed on that Mac, I believe you would benefit by running EtreCheck. Post its report in a reply to this Discussion.
Open the Terminal app in the utilities folder and paste this command at the terminal and hit return. After the prompt returns in a couple of seconds you can quit Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.dock contents-immutable -bool false; killall Dock
Yes, a few. One is Dropbox, which has finder extensions and sharing checked. Another is Core Sync (?) with finder extensions checked. And one is Zamzar, which had been on my computer before I did the update, and I don't even know what it is.
Try unchecking those and do a restart, there may be an update for those apps to make them compatible. If you find the one causing the problem, make sure to use the uninstaller from the developer of the app to remove all files.
Oh, boy. Things are getting worse. Not only did that not solve the dock problem, but now I'm having trouble with the computer bringing up my full google settings. It keeps opening a profile that should not be my default one.
What a big mistake that was to do the OS update. Everything went bad after doing that.

What do you have under the Options submenu when you right-click on the app in the Dock?
Open System Settings > Desktop & Dock. Scroll down to Applications and disable "Recent applications in Dock".
I had already done that. There's stuff in the dock that I never use and I had removed it from my dock with no problem in Big Sur.
(Of the 15 things in the dock now, only three of them were what I had in my dock before. It's all clogged up with stuff I never use and don't want in there.)
Tried the terminal idea. Didn't make a difference, I'm afraid.
