Import mpeg movie into Photos?
I have an old mpeg movie from 2006 that I'd like to import into Photos. Is there a way to do this?

- It will depend on the codec of the mpeg video. Some older codecs are no longer supported on macOS 10.15 Catalina or later, in particular the Perian collection of codecs (Microsoft MPEG-4, DivX, 3ivx, VP6, VP3, and others) and 3ivx MPEG-4, see: About incompatible media in iMovie for macOS - Apple Support
When you get an error message, when you try to import the video to Photos with "File > Import", you have to convert it to a more compatible format, for example H.264 or HEVC. You could use Graphic Converter, if you have a licence for it or try the free HandBrake.
