Text upside down and to the right in preview

Whenever I open a particular pdf in preview, the text is upside down and aligned to the right. I've tried validating fonts & restarting preview, but no luck.

Change font and letter size in Preview I've loaded a PDF in Preview, and I saw it has the ability to fill in fields. When I try to type in those fields, all I get is a tiny, centered Helvetica. Obviously I can't use that (both for readability reasons and for font choice), but when I change my font and size in the markup menu, nothing happens. I even highlight the text before selecting a font, and nothing happens. Is there a fix for this?

Preview Keeps Changing My Font Whenever I use fillable pdfs in preview and I type something in a different font or font size, as soon as I click away is reverts back to the standard font and font size. How do I fix this?

When I try to edit text in a text box in Preview, it flips the text upside down. I have a weird problem. I have an M1 MacBook Air running Ventura 13.0.1 When I add a text box annotation in the Preview app in a PDF. It adds the text box OK, but as soon as you start editing the text it flips upside down and turns the text bold. And as soon as you're done editing the, it flips back upright and removes the bold. I can use two finger to rotate the box upside down, but as soon as I try to edit the text, it flips right side up and changes the text to bold. And when I'm done editing it flips upside down again and removes the bold.

If it's only in one PDF then…

You could try a different PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.
