how to create a new note from an email

Whenever I had an email that I wanted to save as a new note, I would choose share, print, expand the image, share, and choose notes. Then name the new note and the folder to save it to. This no longer works. Is there a new procedure to create a note from an email?

I'm so used to sending Outlook emails directly into OneNote that I really wish I could click a button in Mail to send emails to create new Notes or Reminders (from my MacBook). Is there a procedure to do this on a MacBook?

Hello JSW52,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We're happy to look into this with you.

We were able to test this using the steps below, and it worked with not issues.

  1. Open the email you want to save as a Note
  2. Tap the arrow at the bottom of the screen and select Print
  3. Tap the Share icon at the top of the screen (next to Print)
  4. Select Notes
  5. Type in a name for the new note you're creating

If that isn't working for you, check to make sure the iPadOS is up-to-date in Settings > General > About. If it's not, create a backup and install the update.
