HKSV // Homekit not sending notifications when set to 'stream'

I've got 3 different camera types/manufacturers in my HomeKit setup. None of them will send activity notifications when the camera is set to stream, I only get the notifications when the cameras are set to stream & record. I've tried using "only specific notifications" as well as all motion notifications, neither one works. Tried multiple configurations and nothing will get the notifications to come through unless I set to stream and record
