New iPad Pro tuns on when charging

Hi. How do I get my iPad pro to stay off while charging?

I plug it in, turn it off and about 15 seconds later it turns on all by itself

iPad 2, iOS 9

By design, an iPad will automatically restart when connected to its Power Adapter. This feature cannot be disabled.

iPad won't stay off when charging? When I plug it in and power it down on the iPad charger and go to bed I get up and the screen is not on but the iPad is( I unplug it and the screen comes on like it was asleep), but sometimes it doesn’t do it. I’m just curious because other than the iPad works fine.

Yes, but normally once it's plugged in and charging, I have been able to turn-off, and I can now, that I figured out the issue. I was using a nice but not Apple wall plug. Once I plugged it into the Apple wall plug it worked fine, weird but that was the issue
