Two-Sided Printing Issues

I have a Canon G3060 printer and a Mac desktop computer. Both of which are capable of printing double-sided. However, when I try to print double-sided, the button is grayed out. One recommendation was to go into system preferences and change it there, but when I look, the tab that the recommendation says is there, isn't. I really would like to have this figured out because I'm not a huge fan of unnecessary paper usage. Thanks!

The first photo is the grayed out button, and the second is where the said tab should be.

Hi,

Since the Canon G3060 is listed as a model supporting Apple's driverless AirPrint technology, would it be correct to assume that your printer is using AirPrint (connected to the same network as the Mac computer)?

The functionality of an AirPrint printer is determined by the printer manufacturer in order to be in accordance with the guidelines for use of AirPrint with the Mac operating system. You may have to contact Canon and ask them whether double-sided printing actually is implemented in connection with the macOS version that you are using and AirPrint.

Mac drivers (for example, for a USB-connected printer) do not appear to be available for this model. I do not know whether drivers for another model in the G series would work at all, or change anything regarding double-sided printing.
