AirPods pro 2 dont automatic switch to mac

My setup:

iPhone 14 Pro Max, AirPods pro 2, MacBook pro 16" 2019 (intel i9..)

i tried to:

reset the AirPods pro 2, signed out and back in into iCloud on all devices, (i'm logged in with the same apple id)

i have tried everything but my new AirPods pro 2 wont automatic switch from iPhone to mac

it switches perfectly between iPhones and iPad, like the AirPods pro 1 (they don't automatic switch too)

never been this disappointed in an Apple product like the AirPods pros

please help, its really annoying to have to press connect 700 times a day

Thank you for your reply, and for letting us know we are helping.

You might want to send feedback to Apple. They will likely not reply, yet if others are also having this issue, and Apple gets enough feedback, we may see an update that addresses it.

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

Wondering which MacOS is installed, you may need the newest available with AirPods

ie: for compatibility with the AirPods firmware.

or

You might want to check that you are only connecting AirPods to one device

at a time. (Eg may not be switching between multiple devices.)

See if turn off / turn on bluetooth helps

Thanks for the reply,

I have the latest macOS installed, and here is how i initiate the connection

i connect them to the Mac then play something on the iPhone, and they switch automatically to the iPhone and a notification pops up on the Mac to connect manually (which indicate that the automatic switching isn’t working)

i have checked all the settings.

i tried this between the iPhone and the iPad, they switch flawlessly (with the notification to “return to iPhone with a blue back button)
