AirPods Pro 2nd Generation

I just bought the AirPods Pro 2nd Generation. My issue is that it doesn’t automatically transfer connections between devices. I have to manually reset the connections. I tried looking into the “i” icon on my AirPods Pro, but it doesn’t give me an option “Connect to This iPad/iPhone” like my regular AirPods do. I switch between my iPhone 13 Pro Max and my iPad 7th generation. All of them are up to update. Is it because of compatibility issues?

Hello Jennabanana13,

Let's use the process below to make sure the firmware for your AirPods Pro is also up to date:

Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button  next to the name of your AirPods. Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version.

Currently the latest firmware version is 5B58 for AirPods Pro (2nd generation). You can also find those steps in this resource: About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support Checking on that will help to further isolate a potential firmware conflict.

Should that still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.

Take care.
