I have a mixer Mackie ONYX 1640 with a firewire card. I used to plug it in old computers with the firewire port. Now I have a Mac Mini (M1 2020) with Big Sur 11.6. Is there an adapter in the market?

Hi, I've got the same mixer and used to connect it to the USB-C port on my MBP. This was done through two adapters. A Firewire to thunderbolt, and thunderbolt to USB-C adapter. This used to work, but now it doesn't anymore, my Mac doesn't react to the connection anymore.
Do you have any updates on if this works for you now and how you fixed it?

I believe it’s a problem from OS X Ventura and above. Would be great if support could be back for FireWire Audio. Lots of people having these issues I read.
The later M chip macs do not support firewire. Apple are fading out firewire support even though there are 1000’s of professionals still using firewire. I reverted back to my 2018 Mac mini after finding out my Allen Heath zed r16 wouldn’t work with my Mac mini studio. Don’t rely on the staff in Apple stores they aren’t given enough product training.

My son recently imported from a DV camcorder (Sony TRV320E D8) via Firewire and those Apple's adapters to MacBook Pro 16-inch M1 to Final Cut Pro (Sonoma).

Basically if I connect the Mackie ONYX 1640 mixer using a 800 to 400 firewire cable to the 400 to USB adapter cable and then I connect it to the MAC it should work?
I have Big Sur 11.6 and a MAC MINI (M1 2020).
So I've got a little further. This doesn't work on my 2021 MBP, but I connected my 2018 MBP in the same configuration, and this did recognize the Mackie Onyx 1640 mixer with firewire card. So there is nothing broken. The 2018 MBP has High Sierra on it, the 2021 has Sonoma. Would this be the thing? Or would it be hardware?
