Apple TV+ via PC web browser - no subtitle option

When I watch Apple TV+ via a PC web browser, I do not have the option to turn on subtitles. This support page (Change subtitles or languages for videos in the Apple TV app or iTunes Store - Apple Support) indicates I can hover my mouse over the video to see a Languages button, but no such button is there, nor does it appear no matter how much hovering or clicking I do. I've tried to do this on two different browsers (Chrome and Edge), and a friend has tried it on his own computer as well -- and the Language/subtitles option never appears.

Any suggestions?
