Many Apps do not Work on Cellular Data on IPhone

I see many have the same issue and there is no solution. They work fine on WiFi. The radio button setting to have these apps use cellular data is turned on for all these apps. Examples include Spotify, Apple Music and some streaming apps. On the other hand other apps work well. Connecting to a WiFi from someone sharing their hotspot and the app works. It is

Thanks for reaching out to the community. Are you updated to the latest iOS on your iPhone? Does your carrier provide cellular service for streaming apps? Be sure to follow the steps and article below for using cellular data for apps.


  1. " Go to Settings  > Cellular, then turn Cellular Data on or off for any app (such as Maps) or service (such as Wi-Fi Assist) that can use cellular data".

Thanks for those details. It’s unclear what might be causing this behavior for you at this point, but also make sure you’re not using Low Power Mode, as this disables many features on your iPhone.


If all else fails, and everything is set up properly, if only specific apps are impacted, you might want to try reinstalling them from the App Store.
