I think m’y AirPods Pro 2 are fake…

Recently bought AirPods Pro 2. I think (99% sure) they are fake. I bought them second hand for half the price of New ones. Sound is great, they have ANC that is quite good, also Transparency mode that is not so good. But I cannot factory reset them nor they update thé firmware. I’ve already checked serial and seems legit though they don’t havé à valid purchase date. Also headtracking and proximity tracking don’t Work. Any ideas to tell if they are 100% fake?

Unfortunately it sounds like you got scammed bro! :( I've been there. I brought AirPods 3rd Generation second hand and had a valid serial number, however it would not allow me to update the firmware, additionally some of the higher stringed instruments when listening to music would be a little crackled. However they sounded just as good as my AirPods 2nd Generation. But they were fake unfortunately. So based on the information that you've provided and my own experience, I believe that your AirPods are fake. :(

Yes, now I’m sure 99.9% they are fake. Thé thing that amazes me is the sound and ANC are really good, they have a remarkable dynamic range also and switch between devices seamlessy. And I come from Sony’s WT-1000XM4.

I’ve got Airpods Pro 2 second hand as well, Serial Number is legit - checked it through Apple and they are on warranty lol, everything connects and works but quality of sound is off, the plastic is not as glossy as the original and the most important is smell: fake smells of bitter cheap plastic, the whole box and what’s inside.

Got scammed but it’s a good lesson! Watch out for fakes!
