When I play an AppleTV movie on my TV using an HDMI cable, it will start playing fine, but then after several minutes (randomly) the TV disconnects, but still shows as connected on the iPad and still playing. This is extremely frustrating.
The cable is new, firmly connected at both ends, and stable. If the HDMI cable was at fault I wouldn't expect it to show on the TV in the first place.
Thanks, I am currently using a Cruxtec cable which is good quality and works on other devices. I don't want to buy another high quality cable just to check so I'm looking for one to borrow then report back here. Obv Apple's first thing will be as you say to check other cables so I need to do that before I contact them.
