My iPhone accessories will not connect to any iPhone devices. And we are notified with this message. “Downloading accessory firmware. Your accessory will not function until the download completes.” And then nothing happens, been connected an entire day.
Why is this happening and what can I do to fix this?

Make sure your iPhone has iOS 16.2 installed in Settings > General > About to rule out this being related to an outdated version of iOS.
If it is running 16.2, unplug the adapter and restart your iPhone. Here's how: Restart your iPhone. This may trigger the adapter to be recognized next time it is plugged in.
Be sure and try multiple HDMI inputs as well to further isolate the issue.
