'Play Sound' does not work on my air tag

AirTag set up, but when press 'Play Sound' it says 'AirTag not reachable. Same thing for both new AirTags. It knows it's with me but also cannot find AirTag when 'Find' button is pressed.

All airtags stopped displaying "Play Sound" and "Locate" after my iPhone updated. After my iPhone 14 Pro Max updated to 18.4.1, the FindyMy app doesn't show the "Play Sound" or "Locate" options anymore for all of my airtags. I don't think it's a battery issue, as these airtags are only 3 months old. The option isn't "grayed out" - it just doesn't exist anymore in the airtag Items screen. I only have "Directions," "Share AirTag," and "Notifications." Not sure what happened?

One of my AirTags won’t play a sound even though it’s being detected. I noticed that my Airtag won’t play a sound unless I squeeze it. Although, even if I squeeze it the sound is very very very faint. What should I do?

Airtag making sound randomly My Airtags are behaving weird and I couldn't find a post with this same issue. They randomly play the "Moving with you" sound, that it is supposed to be when an unknown Airtag is moving with me, but these are mine. This is happening in 2 out of my 4 Airtags. When I enter the Find My App, they appear to be with me, but when I try to Play Sound they say "Airtag not reachable". This is happening in my 4 Airtags. I have set them up correcly and they were working perfectly for months, but this started to happen this week and I don't know how to fix it. I tried to "Remove" to 2 Airtags that are playing the sound, and in the process they said they were not reachable, even though they were with me. They got removed and now I can't pair them anymore. How do I fix this?

The "Related Article" above your question says:

"To confirm which AirTag you just connected, play a sound using the Find My app after you register it with your Apple ID".
