Having replaced my Air logic board, I'm stuck "Waiting for session"

I'm using Apple approved manuals and replacement parts. Once I completed the logic board (plus Touch ID plus Audio board) replacement, I boot up, log into my wireless network, and am stuck with "Serial number not set" and "Waiting for session..."

How do I get back to an actual working MB Air??

I am hoping to trade in my M2 Mac Mini, but when entering the serial number into the trade in program, the page seems to indicate that it has no idea what that serial number actually is, as it then asks what model of Mac I have, and what year it came out (with late 2020 being the most recent option). Afterward, it says that it's only eligible for recycling. The serial number is the same everywhere I've looked (packaging, under the Mac, on the Mac, etc.). Am I missing something? How is this not being recognized?

Finding the actual technical specs of my old logic board Hi all, I have a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) and the logic board failed. I had insurance on it, unfortunately it was not through Apple Care (don't ask), and was able to have board replaced, which is good; however, it was not replaced with a board configured similarly; one example really jumps out: old board: 64 GB of memory / new board: 16 GB. I really just want to have the board replaced with the same specs. Is there anyway I can use the S/N (or any other number) on the outside of the MacBook to get a detailed report of what all the specs were when the machine left the factory? Thanks, JMBB

How to get apple support for an iMac without a serial number? I have a 2007 intel iMac that has a few issues and I need to factory reset. However, the serial number has been badly scratched on the bottom of the iMac and is not readable and the OS is inaccessible so I cannot get a serial number. How can I start the apple support process without a serial number?

Apple or an AASP needs activate a replacement logic board. If you performed those repairs on your own Apple will not help but an AASP might.

Yes, exactly the case. I went back to the vendor and they wrapped it up in 10 minutes via chat.
