Apple Wallet

Why do certain passes in my Apple Wallet disappear? They aren't for timed events like a boarding pass or event ticket. They are things like my Hilton Honors card or other similar passes. I've gone into my settings to make sure my "Hide Expired Passes" option isn't turned on. I'm confused why this keeps happening. I'm using iOS 16.1.1 on an iPhone 14 Pro.
