Passes keep disappearing from my Apple wallet

Question

Passes in Apple Wallet keep disappearing automatically. I have noticed this after upgrading to IOS 16. I added one yesterday and it is gone today.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

I did some more digging. Looks like something is really broken in wallet on the new IOS.

On another iPhone 12 running the same IOS (16.1) but with "Hide Expired Passes" enabled, the passes show date from 1935. (And we have confirmation of time travel :) ):

Is anyone else facing this issue? Does not look limited to my iPhone. Inputs appreciated.
