USB C on Ventura Os

I have used an M1 Mac mini for a few years now and never had any issues with my Focusrite audio interface connecting to it. Over the weekend my M1 Mac mini updated to Ventura and now the type C ports are not working. The only part of my setup that has changed is the Os on the Mac. I can take the interface or my mixing board and unplug them from the Mac to plug in to my Samsung phone or laptop and each connects to the interface via USB C just fine. It's like the thunderbolt ports got switched off and I can't figure out how to reactivate them. I've done recovery mode, safe boot, diagnostics, reinstalled Ventura with no luck on all accounts.

Greetings ntpuckett,

To help isolate the behavior, check if the USB port works when all other devices are disconnected. Check out that suggestion here: If a USB device doesn’t work with Mac - Apple Support

* If you have many devices connected to your Mac: Disconnect all USB devices except the device you’re testing, an Apple keyboard, and an Apple mouse. Make sure that the device is connected directly to the computer, and that any hubs or extension cables are disconnected. If you can use the device now, the problem may be with one of the other USB devices or hubs you had connected to your computer. Try reconnecting them, one by one, to your computer. When you find the device causing the problem, review its documentation for further troubleshooting steps.

To further isolate the issue, see if the behavior occurs with a different macOS user account. This will help to see if the issue is system-wide: Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support

Add a user
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Users & Groups  in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
2. Click the Add Account button below the list of users on the right (you may be asked to enter your password.)
3. Click the New Account pop-up menu, then choose a type of user.
4. Enter a full name for the new user. An account name is generated automatically. To use a different account name, enter it now—you can’t change it later.
5. Enter a password for the user, then enter it again to verify. Enter a password hint to help the user remember their password.
6. Click Create User.

If the issue continues before signing in to an account or persists with a different user account, then reach out to Apple Support to help investigate the behavior. You can use the following link to reach out: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kind regards.
