I followed the instructions and the sync function still does not work. My iTunes is on a PC. Trying to sync to my iPhone.
The sync function does not function between iTunes and iPhone.

What happens when you try? Are there any error messages? Is there content on the iPhone that isn't in your library? If so see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community or you risk losing it.
